A Quick and Easy Guide

Hey everyone! The wedding venues and hotels are all in South Kolkata, super close to each other (just 2-3 km apart). Here’s the lowdown on how to get there:

Quick Recommendations

• From the Airport → App Cabs (Uber, Yatri Sathi, InDrive)
• From the Railway Station → Metro (if comfortable with interchanges) OR App Cabs
• Within the City → Metro is the fastest option!

From the Airport

App cabs:

• Your best bet! Download InDrive (works great in Kolkata, but cab quality can be hit or miss) and Yatri Sathi (better prices than Uber).
• Pro tip: InDrive doesn’t include the ₹100 parking fee, so keep that in mind.

Bus:

• Hop on an AC bus (like V-1) heading to Rashbehari.
• Get off at Kalighat Metro Station (Rashbehari) and grab a quick auto/cab to your destination.

From the Railway Station

App cabs:

• Available at dedicated bays (2-3 mins walk from the station).
• Again, InDrive is solid, but remember the parking fee isn’t included.

Bus:

• Catch an AC bus (AC-5, AC-24, etc.) to Rashbehari.
• Confirm with the conductor to avoid shorter routes.
• Get off at Kalighat Metro Station (Rashbehari) and take a short auto/cab ride.

Metro:

• From Howrah Railway Station, take the Green Line metro, interchange to the Blue Line at Esplanade, and get down at Kalighat Metro Station (Rashbehari).
• From there, it’s a quick cab/auto ride to the venue/hotel.

Metro tips:

• The metro is super efficient for travel within the city, but it’s not recommended from the airport (the line is still under construction).
• Pro tip: Download the Metro Ride Kolkata app (Android | iOS) to skip ticket lines and go digital!
